I am SUCH a shit disturber
Oct. 30th, 2006 11:32 pmIt's been almost a full week since a single light glowed on the footbridge over Victoria Park, connecting the subway station of the same name to Crescent Town. After sundown, it's black as pitch. Understandably, it's not a safe situation. You can easily stumble over trash cans, people or, well, anything. It's city property.
An e-mail this weekend to Janet Davis, my councillor, unsurprisingly led to: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. (Surprise.)
The lights are still out as we speak.
So, off goes an e-mail to:
Janet Davis, councillor
David Miller, mayor
CC:
- City-TV
- Toronto Sun
- Toronto Star
- The Globe and Mail
- Silverman Helps
and anyone else I could think of.
I mentioned it's the main point of access for the pedestrians from a 12,000 person community. I mentioned it's Halloween tomorrow night. And I mentioned the kids. (And I mentioned I'd sent an earlier e-mail.)
That ought to get a little attention. ^_^
