And I have just finished grabbing some larger Home sector space. My old Home directory (that's the part of the file system that holds files for me the user like my personal setup files, documents, pictures, music, spreadsheets, etc.) was taking up 87% of a 1.2 gig sector. It's now taking up 6.3% of a 51.7 gig sector. As you can tell from the fact I'm still able to get online and blog, it went well - and it went fast. That's happiness.
Thanks to Matt for giving me the exact instructions including the BASH shell command, and to Chris for encouraging me to go for it. The only difference between Matt's instructions and my actions: there's a GUI way of mounting, unmounting and renaming sectors that comes with Mandriva that I used.
