Don't play with sharp objects

Tomorrow, at 8:00 AM, Dad undergoes a 4.5 to 5 hour nap. Margaret (his ladyfriend/girlfriend/koibito - whatever) and I will be there when he emerges. I'm taking the day off work.

They're calling me at 4:00, picking me up at 5:00, because Dad has to be there two hours ahead of time (6:00) so the anesthetist can premedicate the patient (that would be Dad).

Then the good Doctor will start playing with some very sharp objects.

If all goes well, at about 2:00 in the afternoon, Dad, Margaret and myself will be very, very groggy. At least Margaret and I won't be in any serious physical pain.

I'm off to bed. Who knows - maybe I'll actually get some sleep.
