Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. Made me appreciate my uncles' generation and also appreciate democracy. I may not agree with what you said, but I'll fight to the death to preserve your right to say it.
2. One book you have read more than once?
Eeeee. I reread books CONSTANTLY. OK, after reviewing my book collection (and finding it balanced between sci-fi, science, history and mysteries), I choose the James Harriot country vet series. All Things Bright And Beautiful is my choice du jour. Quite the nice series, gentle and humourous.
3. One book you would want on a desert island?
Small Boat Building by H. W. Patterson.
4. One book that made you laugh?
Callaghan's Key
5. One book that made you cry.
If manga counts: Socrates in Love.
6. One book you wish had been written?
Driving for Dummies - Toronto Edition
6a. One book by someone else you wish you had written.
Aircraft Carrier, by James Bryan III. Excellent turns of phrase.
7. One book you wish had never been written?
Anything pseudoscientific, like Erich von Daniken's "Our Ancestors Came from Outer Space!"
8. One book you are currently reading?
Beginning Databases with PostgreSQL. My life is such a thrill a minute, why read fiction?
9. One book you have been meaning to read?
The final Harry Potter book. I haven't read it because ... well ... you see ... Rowling has to write it first...
10. Now tag five people.
You're it!!!!!!
