General idiocy
Jun. 16th, 2008 09:07 pmAnyone who knows me, knows that I go in for the scientific stuff: space exploration, astrophysics, biological sciences, anything that involves pure intellect, logic and rationality holds an attraction to me.
Anything that smacks of superstition does not. Like, for example, psychics.
Like this psychic. And teacher's assistant. And teacher. And principal.
And Oh My God How Stupid Can They Be? (Collectively, they don't have the scientific IQ of a tub of peanut butter.)
Fortunately the Children's Aid Society in Barrie is made of more sober stuff, they praised the mother and closed the file. By rights, the file should have been a wood rasp, and should have been delivered soundly on the principal's head. I bet it would ring - hollow objects usually do.
Scariest part of this story: these supposedly rational and intelligent (Homo Sapiens Sapiens - "Very Wise Man" - PHAH!) beings are teaching the next generation of decision makers. There are times when I fear for the future of my species.
