Update - Dad

lordshipmayhemSo today was Dad's preop exam. He'll be going in to Nuclear Med for a shot Tuesday afternoon, and Wednesday (he'll be told WHEN, when he gets the shot) he has a date with the scalpel. He's been assured there's nobody better than the doc doing his surgery.
He's holding up well enough, but as the day draws closer I think he's starting to get a bad case of nerves. Let's face it, 4 1/2 hours to 5 hours of surgery is hard enough on anyone, but he's 76.
So this weekend I'll be at dear old Dad's, as might be my sister and (fresh from having nasal surgery, poor guy - not for cosmetic reasons) brother-in-law.

Spare a thought for Sumomo tomorrow. It's pest control season, and a contractor (escorted by one of our maintenance staff or a condo security guard) is going around putting the gel in all our units. Tomorrow my floor is one of the three scheduled.
Pity the poor pest control contractor and condo staffer. Tomorrow is also the day they do Wilf's overstuffed unit too.
