OK, so this is probably not as thrilling for some to hear as it will be for various family, as it involves issues of my weight, so...



I've got happy news. I've lost so much weight, I'm down another pants size again. Woot!! I'm down to a 42 waist, and have only another (meh) four to six inches to go to reach Ideal Size.

Today was expensive, though: I bought a pair of dress shoes and a suit jacket for work. That set me back about $600. Ouch. (The shoes: $399. Womens' shoes are so much cheaper, the only thing about women's clothing that apparently is. I know, total ripoff of the ladies by the garment and dry-cleaning industries.)

I'll celebrate the new size by (1) getting my suit pants taken in and (2) buying another suit.

O_o' Dress shoes costing $400? What the hell? I've seen plenty of women's shoes that cost that much or more but they're designer, not regular shoes.

A good pair of Dacks will run you anywhere from $300 on up.

The thing is, I can get shoes for a third the price, but they'll last you an eight the life you'll get out of the pricier ones. You get what you pay for, and currently I'm in a more business formal environment.

Gary's not kidding. Dack's own brand is just as expensive as any designer name at Rosen or Renfrew.

Men get it tough for designer prices too. $700 Cdn. Pradas, anyone? (and I'm not even gonna touch on Prada's boots -_-;;;;;)
