Tonight, 60 Minutes had a story about how computers were taking over so many ordinary things: fridges, toasters, cars (especially high-end marques like BMW), dishwashers, etc. etc. At the end of the report, which concerned itself with "Revenge of the Nerds" ("We nerds," one talking head explains, "are taking over the world, but the only power we're interested in is lowering battery consumption!").
The irony part: At the end of the story, there's a brief announcement that "to read more on the story, and to see scenes that we didn't air, you can log on to Yahoo! (etc.)" Yep, guys, rub it in. The mundanes sometimes find it difficult grasping that the meek and nerdy have inheirited the earth.
