Two pieces of happy good news to report:

1) I got a little concerned about this pet food recall, wondering if Sumomo is OK. So I checked out the symptoms to beware of: Symptom #1 is lethargy.

As I'm pondering how you determine that a cat, a species that sleeps 12 hours out of 24, is being lethargic, the Shinkansen Line "Sumomo" launches from the bathroom, crossing the living room in two bounds on her way to the dining room table in a calico blur.

So much for Symptom #1. ^_^


2) The conversion started today. It's almost finished. I've now got to do the last-minute tidying up and while I may have to work late on Friday, I should have Saturday afternoon off. And Sunday!! Happiness!! The databases appear to have converter without gross errors, and quicker than I anticipated. Let's hope Parts 2 and 3, the Security settings and the report confirmation, work as well.

to be honest, most of the pet-food recall involved canned or 'gooshy-food' (stuff like the meat+gravy in a pouch).

If you haven't seen the list, I think you can go here and check out to see if your brand is on the list. Thankfully, the canned food the two beasts here get isn't on the list ^_^

Seriously, you go through more database conversions in a year than should be expected in a lifetime. I'm sincerely glad that this one seems to be going so painlessly.
