Assorted silliness
Jul. 11th, 2007 09:15 pmThis post from the Groklaw blog talks about "Troops, a parody of Cops starring Stormtroopers. Very funny (especially the
cameo appearance by Tom Servo)."
Alas and alack, they are not referring to the real TomServo a.k.a.
sierralad we all know and love, but some puppet playing the part of some robot or other. :P

I'm heading home tonight, and I notice an ad for the Bank of Montreal that literally covers the streetcar from stem to stern, consisting of all the different things you can buy with your new Bank of Montreal debit card. Specifically I notice three words apparently strung together: "Sushi Bathing Suit".
*blink, blink*
Yes, I know. Watashi wa ecchi. I didn't just get that T-shirt because it was a silly saying.
****
A couple of instances of "they've got a lot to learn about anatomy":
1) When being photographed yesterday in Chicago, an irritated Conrad Black, Lord Tubby of Crossharbour, invites the press to place their cameras up where the sun doesn't shine. He has a lot to learn about anatomy.
2) The Communist Chinese government is blaming the internet for a steep rise in teenage pregnancy. They've got a lot to learn about anatomy.
****
For those of you still following the travails of the gang at MegaTokyo, it's been picked up by Kodansha, and will be translated into Japanese and offered on that side of the Pacific. That would be the very definition of, "Like carrying coal to Newcastle!"
