Theory put forth right now is that when we did the reformat (I was asleep at the time so I have no idea what went on) the OS we got and reformatted with was somehow pasted over the OS that we were trying to reformat so that they're both there and using space, but we're only using the recently installed one.
I don't really know how viable a theory but that's what was put out by Dos so we're getting some backup to look into it.
