The news reader on CityTV's City News channel was just describing the lunar eclipse, visible tonight. "It should be even more spectacular than usual because there are no volcanic eruptions happening on the moon and obscuring the image."

Eruptions on WHICH celestial body?

No shit, Sherlock. Hasn't been any sort of volcanic eruption on the Moon for millennia, and it wouldn't obscure the entire freaking planetoid unless it was almost big enough to rip it apart. Of course, I suspect the writer of his copy meant on the Earth, but he didn't even blink.

I thought that was a weird statement too. In a rare moment I actually saw the same clip (tv not big in my life).
