Weekend plans
Mar. 7th, 2008 07:25 pmMy weekend plans are to wit: absolutely nothing. With all this snow, I'm hibernating until at least Sunday afternoon. I'm leaving the apartment to drop off recycling, dump garbage and do laundry - none of which involves leaving the building. With the possible exception of bread, I've got enough food on hand to see me through to Tuesday.
I had supper with Wilf in the CT Tavern this evening, as it is steps from our front door and covered about 90% of the way. It was pretty watching the big fluffy flakes falling, as long as you didn't think of what it was doing to the highways. They're already a mess, and the worst part of the storm won't get here until tomorrow afternoon.
I was watching the news and saw the reporter from CityTV interviewing one mom who was seeing her eldest two kids (boys 16 and 18) off on their March Break trip. The kids would find out when the got to Florida where their room was: on a cruise ship heading for the western Caribbean. Cool mom. She'd planned it like an episode from the Amazing Race, with the two running from point to point last night trying to get all the clues.
And that's it for the week. Everyone enjoy the weekend!!
