Mar. 9th, 2008 11:45 amMy balcony being six feet deep, it isn't often that I get snow on my living room windowsill, but I've got a drift there about a quarter-inch high. I've also got another drift at the base of the living room window. It has to be REAL windy during the storm to get that kind of effect.
Several someones have posted that if the boffins have done their calculations right, this earlier start to Daylight Savings Time (you DID remember to set your clocks ahead, right?) would actually result in increased rather than decreased energy consumption. I can attest that so far, they seem to be right. I wasted perfectly good energy cursing at the alarm clock this morning, as my circadian rhythm insisted it was still 5:00...
