Only a few of you out there may be aware that the Phoenix probe on Mars uses Linux as its principle operating system. Well, it appears that a certain Redmond, Washington firm wants equal time, according to Bruce Perens, noted commentator on the computer scene.

After intensive protest from Microsoft Corporation regarding the use of the Linux operating system on the Phoenix Mars Probe, NASA has announced that it will use Microsoft Windows on a future probe mission. The new Bluescreen mission will test the ballistic impact of an instrument package on the Martian surface.

That should keep the Vole happy. ^_^

I know, but I'm having some issues with the website right now. It's not opening up the Edit Post routine. I click on it, and I get either the same old Home page without any working clickies, or I get a blank screen. Same with preview. Other sites working A-OK.
