Lunchtime, and Daddy is having a nice salad. Sumomo immediately comes over to try to cadge some of that milk that she knows the cereal in that bowl is soaking in.

"Go away. Go a-way-a-a. Eff off. This is a salad, S A L A D. You're a carnivore, or did you forget that?"

Disappointed that I'm not giving her any of the milk that is (not) in the bowl of (not) cereal, a disappointed Sumomo slinks away.

In this corner, we have a thunderstorm. And in the other corner is Sumomo the Brave. Er, actually... she's hiding in the hall closet. Safer there, especially when a bolt of lightning close enough that there's NO delay between flash and window-rattling KABOOM, causes the lights to shut out for a half a heartbeat, and come back on with a BANG that has left me still a bit deaf and dizzy.

And to think the weather looked so nice this morning I was almost thinking of going to the beach today. Thank goodness Jason staved me off just long enough for the weather to change.

I'm glad you weren't caught in this weather. It would not have been fun for you.

I got advance warning: Wilf called, he'd been listening to the radio and heard the advance weather forecast. They had already called for an extreme weather watch for Saturday. They said what we're getting this weekend is the same weather front that spawned all those tornadoes out west.

This is going to be not-so-great for the Taste of the Danforth, unfortunately.

We had that storm earlier. :) It's cleared up some now, but we watched it a bit. Your livingroom is one of the BEST places to watch a storm that we know of. :)

It'll be back: they're calling for more thunderboomers overnight and tomorrow afternoon. I'm going for groceries tomorrow morning, to avoid all that. ^_^
