Late night update
Mar. 6th, 2006 12:56 amOK, a quick note before going off to slumberland.
I saw the new Pink Panther movie this afternoon. It wasn't bad, but the ending left me with mixed emotions - it wasn't quite in the style of the rest of the movie. I won't spoil it for anyone, so I'll leave it at that.
Yesterday morning I took Sumomo to the vet's for her monthly nail trim. We got to meet a VIP: a golden lab mix (with Belgian draft horse apparently, as we're not talking a lapdog here) refugee from Hurricane Katrina. She's being babysat for the time being.
And on Wednesday night after class, I'd seen the other end of the scale while I was grabbing an apres-class bite: a little dog that fit happily in the pocket of its master's coat. He was able to take it right into the fast-food restaurant, and the staff and patrons all swooned over the cute little guy. It had a snout like a collie (but proportioned for its pint size), but was not much bigger than a chihuahua.
Before I went to the movie, I checked out the local Chapters bookstore right across from the theatre. Big mistake: I ended up buying a magazine. With three disks in it: Mandriva 2006 (I'm currently running LE2005). The magazine, from Britain, was a good intro into Linux's Windows-alternative applications. I'm thinking of installing this version in a couple of days.
Night all!!
