Fluffy fun
May. 3rd, 2006 10:19 pmLet's call them David and Jill, because, well, that happens to be their names. Now David is a long-suffering principal of an elementary school, and Jill is a District Superintendant. David's school being in her district, David reports to her.
He gets a call one afternoon this past week:
Jill: "We have the names of the two potential Chairs (the position of Chair is new, sort of a "vice-principal" with teaching responsibilities). We'd like to interview them in two days' time, at the head office, downtown."
David: "OK, who are they."
Jill: "The first is (name)."
David: "Fine, he'd be a good choice. Who is the second?"
Jill: "I don't have a second name, but his first name is 'Buckhorn'."
David: "Erm..."
Jill: "He's gotten a glowing recommendation: never goes home, great with the kids, (etc. etc.)"
David, making choking sounds: "Er, Buckhorn is Wilf's class's rabbit."
Jill: Doesn't say much of anything until she catches her breath.
