So, today I went out and did something I don't often do: buy clothes. Specifically, a new pair of shoes (casual) and a new suit for the job search.

And I got some good news with that suit.

I have had a battle with my waistline since I was a kid. I started a weight-loss attempt about 2 years ago, and this is the first new suit I've bought since then.

I'm down six suit sizes. I'm back in the Tip-Top Tailors range. Happiness!!

I've got another six to eight inches to lose around the waist before I'm down to a more practical fighting trim, but that goal is in sight.

(The reason I so seldom go even window shopping for clothes: the act of clothes shopping just bores me gormless. I prefer to go in, get what I need, and get on with my so-called life.)

Congrats on the weight loss! I lost a lot of weight some years ago, and have kept it off well for the most part since. It's an ongiong battle though!
